2014-07-01 National Centre for Farmer Health thrown $625,000 funding lifeline from Victorian, federal Governments – Weekly Times

THE world-renowned National Centre for Farmer Health has been thrown a lifeline from the Federal Government.

The Hamilton-based program, which undertakes groundbreaking research into the health and safety of farming communities, will receive $375,000 from the Commonwealth to keep its doors open for another 12 months.

The funding coincides with a Victorian Government commitment of $250,000.

“It’s fantastic that we will be able to keep our work going,” centre director Sue Brumby said.
